What data do we collect?

The information we hold will consist of but not be limited to

  • Title, Name, email address, phone number

  • Email preference such as ‘do not email / unsubscribed’

  • Purchase history (products that you’ve purchased from our site)

 

Credit card details are encrypted after data entry and are not stored on our systems after use.  We do not collect any Special Category Data (sensitive data) such as race, religion, biometrics or health data. It is our policy that your information is private and confidential. Accordingly, the personal information you provide to us is stored in a secure location, and is accessible only by designated staff. We also collect data because it is necessary for the pursuit of our legitimate interests.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

We use these platforms to reach you and people like you with relevant, targeted offers and updates from BambooBaby. How will we use your data?

Our Company collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order and manage your account.

  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

  • Understand your wishes and shopping preferences - We use the information we have about you to tailor the content and try to ensure that the offers are as relevant to you as possible.   • Improve our service and our products – We use WIX to host our store and to manage your order and any future customer service requests. We collect and store the details you provide when you interact and place orders on our site. WIX provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your order data is stored in WIX’s data storage, databases and the general WIX application.  Your data is secured with 256 bit-SSL encryption.

 

We work with the following data processors in order to carry out our marketing activities. From time to time, we may use other legally compliant data processors as required. These processors will hold data for no longer than is required to complete the analysis before securely deleting it. All data is only accessible to select, authorised individuals.

 

Facebook: If you do not wish to see targeted ads on Facebook, you can update your preferences on Facebook by clicking on the Ads section within Settings on Facebook. Facebook matches email address, marketing preferences and purchase history for the purpose of audience selection for our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.

 

Google Ads: They match your email address, phone number and country of residence for the purpose of audience selection for our advertising campaigns on Google Search and Display Networks. When Our Company processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

 

How do we store and secure your data?

Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. Our Company will keep customer data for seven years after the last purchase date, or until you exercise your right to deletion as described below in the YOUR RIGHTS section.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. WIX perform regular security audits and infiltration testing to maintain our ISO/PCI security certifications.

Wix encrypts databases containing sensitive information, according to PCI standards, to add additional protection of personally identifiable information. Their encryption methods render this information unreadable without a cryptographic key. Wix has a multiple layer security architecture to help protect against 0-day security issues.

Wix's signup and login services are completed through a secure server. The information provided to us in the signup process is secured via HTTPS/ SSL communication. Wix uses cryptography hash functions to protect your information. Your password is stored as a hash digest and, in the event of a security breach, your original password cannot be recovered from their servers.

Google Analytics is a website analytics service which measures the traffic on our website and website visitors' general details. We collect statistics like which pages visitors visit and when, where they are approximately located, where they land first or if they are coming from a specific referral, to make our website visitors' experience better.
